1 Balanced mechanical seal and unbalanced mechanical seal


The pressure unloading that enables the medium to act on the sealing end is a balanced mechanical seal, and the non-balanced mechanical seal cannot be unloaded. According to the degree of unloading, the former is divided into partially balanced (partially unloaded) mechanical seals and over-balanced (all unloaded) mechanical seals. On the sealed end of a balanced mechanical seal, the applied force varies less with the pressure of the medium, and the force acting on the sealed end of the non-balanced mechanical seal changes with increasing medium pressure.


2 Built-in mechanical seals and external mechanical seals


The mechanical seal that the spring and the moving ring are installed in the submersible pump and in contact with the medium in the machine is a built-in (set) type mechanical seal. The spring and the dynamic seal ring are installed in the submersible pump and the mechanical seal that comes into contact with the external medium is an external device. Type mechanical seals; springs and dynamic seal rings installed outside the submersible pump in contact with the external media are external (set) mechanical seals internal mechanical seal components are in the machine oil, sealed end of the cooling and Lubrication is better and is a common structural form. Most parts of exterior-mounted mechanical seals are in contact with the sewage outside the machine and are exposed outside the submersible pump. The degree of lubrication of the sealed end face is relatively poor.


3 single-end mechanical seal and double-end mechanical seal


The mechanical seal consisting of a pair of sealed end faces is a single-end mechanical seal, and the mechanical seal consisting of two pairs of sealed end faces is a double-end mechanical seal. Single-end mechanical seal structure is simple, easy to manufacture and install, when the leakage of the medium has strict requirements, the use of poor results. The double-faced mechanical seal has two structures: an axial double-end seal and a radial double-end seal. The radially arranged double-face seal structure is compact in size compared to the axial double-face seal.


Axial double-faced mechanical seals are either face-to-face or back-to-back arrangements. When working, sealants are added between the two pairs of faces to improve the lubrication and cooling conditions between the faces and to isolate the medium from the outside.


4 Single spring mechanical seals and multiple spring type mechanical seals


The mechanical seal with only one spring in the compensation mechanism is called a single spring type mechanical seal or a large spring type mechanical seal. The mechanical seal containing multiple springs in the compensation mechanism is called a multi-spring mechanical seal or a small spring type mechanical seal. The spring pressure of the end of the single spring type mechanical seal is not evenly distributed when the journal is large, and the spring pressure distribution of the multiple spring type mechanical seal is relatively uniform.


5 Rotary mechanical seals and static mechanical seals


A mechanical seal in which the spring rotates with the shaft is called a rotary mechanical seal, and a mechanical seal in which the spring does not rotate with the shaft is called a stationary mechanical seal. Because the spring of the static mechanical seal is not affected by the centrifugal force, the work is relatively stable. The elastic element of the rotary mechanical seal has a simple device and a small radial dimension, which is a common structure.


6 Inflow mechanical seal and outflow mechanical seal


The mechanical seal whose medium leakage direction is opposite to that of centrifugal force is an internal flow type mechanical seal, and the mechanical seal whose medium leakage direction is consistent with the centrifugal force direction is an outflow type mechanical seal.
