What are the precautions for installing mechanical seals?

Submersible sewage pump mechanical seal equipment installation precautions! How does the mechanical seal prevent the sealing element?

(1) Various mechanical seals for sewage pump equipment Before installation, it is necessary to check carefully whether the number of mechanical seal parts is in line with requirements and whether any components are damaged, in particular whether the moving and static rings have defects such as bumps, cracks, and deformation. If in doubt, you need to make corrections or replace new ones. 

(2) Check whether the chamfering of the sleeve or the gland is appropriate, and it is necessary to repair it when it is not suitable. 

(3) Before submersible sewage pump mechanical seal equipment, it is necessary to clean and clean the components of the mechanical seal and its related equipment contact surfaces. Equipment should adhere to the cleanliness of the process, in particular, the surface of the moving and static rings and their supporting sealing elements should be free of impurities and dust. The surfaces of the moving and stationary rings are coated with a clean layer of mechanical or turbine oil.

(4) In order to prevent deflection of the gland face, after the coupling is corrected, the bolt shall be even when the mechanical seal of the pump is tightly pressed, and the points shall be inspected with a feeler gauge, and the fault is not more than 0.05mm. The

(5) Using a feeler gauge to check the cooperating space (ie, concentricity) between the gland and the shaft or sleeve outer diameter, the adjacent area should be uniform, and the allowable fault of each individual should be no more than 0.10 mm. The

(6) The amount of spring contraction should be in line with the rules, and it is not allowed to have too large or too small appearances, allowing a fault of ±2,00 mm. When the amount of shrinkage is too large, the specific pressure of the end face increases, and the wear of the end face accelerates; when it is too small, the specific pressure is lacking and the sealing effect is not achieved. After the spring is loaded, it should move in the spring seat. When the device is single spring, it should pay attention to the rotation of the spring, and its rotation direction should be opposite to the direction of the axis transformation.

(7) When the equipment is moving, it should be ensured that it can move freely. After the ring is pressed against the spring, it should be able to spring back automatically. 

(8) When the equipment is in the stationary ring, the sealing ring is firstly put on the back of the stationary ring, and then the mechanical seal is installed in the sealing end cap. The verticality of the center line of the end face of the stationary ring and the end cap should meet the technical requirements, and the anti-rotation groove on the back of the stationary ring should be The anti-rotation pins should be aligned but not in contact. Do not damage the stationary ring face during the equipment. 

(9) During the process of the equipment, the sealing element must not be allowed to strike with something to prevent damage to the sealing element.
